Since June 2024, The Continuum has been within reach of Tanjong Katong MRT Station on the Thomson-East Coast Line, giving the address a genuine three line spread alongside the existing East-West and Circle Lines at Paya Lebar. Dakota MRT Station on the Circle Line is the closest station, a 9 minute walk or 4 minute cycle away, while Paya Lebar MRT Interchange is 13 minutes on foot (8 minutes by bicycle). Drivers reach the East Coast Parkway in about 6 minutes and the Kallang-Paya Lebar and Marina Coastal Expressways in about 10 and 11, connecting to the Central Business District, Marina Bay and Suntec City in around 15 minutes. Paya Lebar Quarter, a 10 minute walk from The Continuum, is the nearest integrated business, retail and lifestyle hub, sitting within the broader Paya Lebar Central commercial cluster. Beyond the immediate neighbourhood, the Central Business District, Marina Bay and Suntec City are reachable in around 15 minutes by car via the Marina Coastal Expressway, and Changi Business Park is roughly 19 minutes away, giving residents working across the east and the city centre a comparatively short commute in either direction.
Over the long term, URA’s Master Plan cites the eventual relocation of Paya Lebar Airbase as a growth driver for the surrounding region, potentially freeing land for a new live-work-play precinct and lifting the current height restrictions the airbase imposes nearby. This is a long range planning reference rather than a funded, dated project, and no relocation timeline has been announced, so it should be read as context for the area’s direction over coming decades rather than a near term catalyst in the way that the already operating Tanjong Katong MRT station is.
Greenery, Parks and Recreation
The Continuum sits at the edge of the Kallang basin, and most of the green space in that direction is being built out rather than already open. The Kallang Alive masterplan covers Benaan Kapal Green, the Kallang Football Hub and the Kallang Alive Loop, and the Kampong Bugis masterplan covers the Old Kallang Airport site: these are planned and phased URA and Sport Singapore programmes, not settled amenities, and no completion dates have been announced for the individual components. What is already open is the Singapore Tennis Centre at Kallang, the National Stadium and the Sports Hub precinct around them.
The development sits inside the national park connector network, with East Coast Park and its beachfront connector about 5 minutes away. That connector forms part of the Round Island Route, NParks’ island-wide cycling and walking corridor, which is being delivered in phases and will eventually link Rower’s Bay, Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, MacRitchie Reservoir, Punggol Point, Pasir Ris Park, Changi Bay Point, East Coast Park and Gardens by the Bay. The eastern stretch through East Coast Park is open; other segments are still under construction.

Several shopping malls sit within easy reach of The Continuum, including Kinex Mall, Singpost Centre, Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ), Paya Lebar Square, Kallang Wave Mall, i12 Katong and Parkway Parade, between them covering a wide range of retail, dining and entertainment options without requiring a trip into town.
For local dining, Old Airport Road Hawker Centre, Kallang Estate Market, Geylang Serai Market and Haig Road Market and Food Centre are all within reach, alongside recreational facilities at East Coast Park, Chinese Swimming Club, Singapore Swimming Club and National Stadium for residents who want a swim, a match, or a walk along the water without leaving the neighbourhood.

Primary Schools
Within 1km of The Continuum are Kong Hwa School, Haig Girls’ School and Tanjong Katong Primary School. Within 2km are CHIJ (Katong) Primary, Tao Nan School, Geylang Methodist School (Primary) and Maha Bodhi School. Families for whom MOE’s 1km and 2km priority registration bands are a live consideration should verify the exact radius against MOE’s own registration tool, since school catchment boundaries can shift from year to year.
